I’ve been a Mac user my whole life, so starting a new job with a Windows laptop has been... rough. The shortcuts, UI, even basic functions feel so foreign and it’s really slowing me down. I’m wondering, is it okay to raise this with my manager or IT and ask for a Mac instead? Or will that make me sound too high-maintenance/demanding? Anyone else faced this before? Changing will take some time meaning some works might delay but I really2 can't with Windows. So awkward using it at home

I’ve been working remotely full-time since Dec 2024 and while the flexibility is great, I’m starting to wonder… what kind of company benefits do remote workers actually get? My current perks are super basic. They just offer annual leave and personal insurance. Do your companies offer things like WFH allowance, wellness credits, internet subsidies, or equipment support? Curious how other remote workers are being supported. Would love to hear what’s out there so I can ask for these next time

Been working remotely for over a year now, and one thing I didn’t expect was how invisible I’d feel. Out of sight, out of mind, like literally. I don’t get picked for new projects, feedback is delayed, and it’s like I’m always the last to know about updates. Colleagues don't really include me & it’s hard to prove your worth when no one really “sees” your work. Anyone else struggling with this weird side effect of WFH? How do you stay visible and valued when you’re not physically around?

Just started a remote job and honestly, I love it! But my biggest struggle isn’t the work itself… it’s convincing my family that my job is real. Since I don’t go into an office, they keep asking, “Are you sure this is legit?” or “Why would a real company let you work from home?” I’ve shown them my contract, the laptop they gave me, even my payslip but still, they act like it’s not a “real” job. It’s frustrating and embarrassing. How do you explain remote work to people who just don’t get it?
