    inter-department collaboration
    The good thingsBeing in a big company, there is hardly any chance to do collaborative work aside from own duties. Working here gives you the exposure to mix around with fellow peers and colleagues. through collaborative projects help us to bond closer as a company. even during the circuit breaker period, even when we couldnt see much of each other, but it drew us closer, knowing that we are always within reach with a video call away.
    The challengesi personally see each challenge as a milestone to reach and overcome.

    The good thingsMy team and i are cohesive. We always help each other to get work done. Teamwork is often displayed at work! I truely enjoy my time here with Shaw Holdings.

    Company that recognizes your hard work
    The good thingsI find that regular receiving compliments and positive feedback is not common in many places. At first I thought it was just during my probation period but till now i still receive encouragement from my workplace. I also receive rewards for my achievements. Really a great workplace to shine as long as you do what it takes to do your work well.
    The challengesjust a thought. Maybe there can be an internal program to try out ? different department roles and responsibilities.

    The good thingsThe company often provide training support to improve our sales pitch and skills, and managers are always on standby to help with our enquiries. Basic salary is high compared to many other industries, also the commission is on the high side.

    great autonomy
    The good thingsI can wear many hats despite being in a primarily administrative role. The working environment gives me the opportunity to lead discussions during meetings and have the autonomy to decide my own deadlines. This is only possible with the encouragement from my manager.

    The good thingsIn this situation where many companies may have to downsize manpower or even encourage no-pay leave/ pay cut, this company stands behind all its employees. The company assures our livelihood, affirms our contribution and importance. This is the place to work at.

    The good thingsEmployee-centric company who values the hard work and effort put in by employees. It is a common culture for the management, managers and peers to appreciate each other’s hard work and achievements. And I am glad to be part of this positive environment which helps me to thrive forward. Knowing that all of us are working hard at home due to the unforeseen situation, our manager surprised us with food delivery. It seems like a small gesture but was extra heartwarming to know that my superior looks out for us.

    The good thingsMy department welcomed me with open arms when I first joined. They were all very accommodating and we worked well together as a team.They guided me through all my uncertainties and made sure all my doubts were cleared. This allowed me to excel in my work.

    The good thingsI think that for work location wise, it is rather convenient as it is just 5 mins walk from the MRT to my workplace. The office environment is bright and spacious, a conducive place to work at. At the same time, there are many eateries around the area and you need not have to worry about having to eat the same thing over again!

    no regrets for career change!
    The good thingsI have been in the education sector for a few years prior to a career change here at Shaw Holdings. It was a big leap of faith since I have been accustomed to the constant routine flow. Being a trainer has its challenges. I have to tweak how I conduct trainings to people my age and it is rewarding to see how the new colleagues I once trained are doing well in their respective designations. The hierarchy level is also flatter, which means to say that I have more direct autonomy to provide feedbacks and suggest new implementations to improve our training programs.
    The challengesThings are pretty fast paced here across all departments here. However, it means that things are not stagnant which is very ideal for people who enjoy a little spice here and there. No regrets for changing career at all.

    The good thingsThe management has a proper direction that brings the company forward which makes it encouraging for new employees into a new working environment. Supportive teammates to help one another complete tasks before deadline. The location in Suntec City is great even I am staying in the West.

    The good thingsThe company is very dedicated to it's mission which is simply 'to help people find jobs'. Their primary motivation is the job seeker which very much resonates with me. They treat you like a family, fun yet productive workplace, help you learn more skills and improve. We have weekly check-ins with our manager to see our work progress and help us solve any problems that we face.
    The challengesUncertainty in the global economy and credit markets, about what competitors are doing, and about how new technology will affect the business can lead to a short-term focus and people not getting anything done. Companies end up making short-term plans instead of long-term plans, but failing to plan 5-10 years into the future can destroy the company’s value.

    Good work life balance and opportunities
    The good thingsgood work life balance - you get to knock off on time once your daily tasks are completed opportunities are given - you get to show your talents and skills and take on new tasks. colleagues are really united and there's a camaraderie. very good perks like number of annual leave, bonus and welfare fund
