Yishun Central North Region2 to 3 years in the role, former employee
I faced a challenging work environment involving excessive workload, extended working hours, and limited support from HR in addressing concerns.
The good thingsFriendly colleague, canteen available with food subsidy, near to my staying area
The challengesToxic work culture where I am frequently criticized during meetings by cross-functional teams, often with offensive and inappropriate language. When I express that I am overburdened with tasks, including responsibilities belonging to others, my manager publicly agrees with the team, telling me to focus on my own work. However, after the meeting, the manager insists that I must still cover my colleague’s tasks as well. Additionally, my manager often stops me just as I’m about to leave the office around 7 PM, pulling me into late-night working sessions until 10 or 11 PM. Even after returning home, I receive work messages as late as midnight. HR does not act impartially and consistently sides with the employer, disregarding ethical practices.
