Barista
The primary role of a Barista is to ensure amazing coffee experiences for customers. They take charge of brewing the perfect cup of coffee, showcasing their expertise in various brewing methods and latte art. They also coach and guide other baristas, sharing their knowledge and helping them enhance their skills. From customer service to managing inventory and maintaining the equipment, a Barista is a coffee connoisseur who brings joy and satisfaction to coffee lovers like you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, Americanos, and specialty drinks, in accordance with company’s recipes and standards for taste and presentation.
- Ensure that the coffee equipment is calibrated and maintained to produce consistent and high-quality products.
- Interact with customers to understand their preferences and provide recommendations when needed.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as coffee machines, grinders, and brewing devices, to ensure consistent quality and safety.
- Greet customers, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional outlook
- Manage inventory and restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other beverage ingredients to ensure a continuous supply of materials for drink preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular cleaning of equipment and work station to meet SFA Hygiene Standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the restaurant’s menu offerings, seasonal specials, and promotions to assist customers in making informed choices.
- Suggest additional items like pastries, snacks, or merchandise that complement customers' beverage choices, contributing to increased sales.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless service and overall hotel operations.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Barista
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Barista experience
- Required knowledge of coffee extraction and calibration (grinder and espresso machine)
- Basic latte art skill
- Positive work attitude
- Passionate about coffee
