Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Planning
This role is a pivotal member for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) across Bridgestone Asia Pacific, India and China (BSAPIC) including Regional Head Office (RHO) Functions. The incumbent is required to support the Regional Management by leading financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and simulations. The incumbent will lead RHO FP&A to work closely with RHO Functions, Group Companies (GC) and Global Head Office (GHO) Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting, data-driven strategic decision-making, and alignment of financial strategies with business goals, while delivering timely, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Management Reporting
· Drive Management Reporting and Financial Planning cycles, including long-term strategic planning and periodic forecasting forecast, budget and Mid Term Plan.
· Develop and coordinate the BSAPIC enterprise process for forecasts, budgets, and mid/long-term plans:
1. Understand global reporting requirements and inputs needed for accurate financial figures and scenarios.
2. Propose and implement processes involving RHO Functions and GCs to meet deadlines and ensure decision-making readiness.
3. Monitor progress, identify roadblocks, and adjust plans as needed.
· Consolidate financial results and analyze financial performance of all companies and product group/channel in BSAPIC Region for Actual / Budget / Forecast.
· Create accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
Digital Transformation
· Drive digital innovation in forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes (mid-term, long-term).
· Contribute to the development of advanced financial systems for a data-driven approach.
· Design user-friendly, efficient reports accessible to users & SBU management.
· Be core member of Global projects relating to digital transformation for financial planning.
Financial Simulation and Scenario Analysis
· Design and maintain financial models for quick simulations to support decision-making for:
1. For regularly updated factor, including but not limited to volume (both sale and production), RMI, FX assumptions.
2. Plan and organize updates of factors with GHO, RHO Functions and GCs as required
3. Monitor accuracy of model and identify areas to revise and improve simulation formulas and assumptions.
Collaboration and Alignment
· Work closely with Corporate Planning Function to plan, arrange and revise if required for BSAPIC internal reporting and meeting schedules and calendar.
· Design and update Management Playbooks where required.
Leadership and Process Improvement
· Mentor and guide junior staff to enhance the finance team’s capabilities.
· Contribute to projects aimed at automating systems and streamlining processes.
· Offer financial guidance and support to Group Company Finance teams.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a professional accounting qualification.
· 10–15 years of experience in FP&A and Accounting, including at least 3 years in team leadership and regional management accounting & reporting.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing costing and analysis.
· Exposure to multinational corporations, with a focus on the APAC region.
· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Power BI and SAP is an advantage.
· Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial modeling techniques.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and communicate insights effectively.
· Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Strong planning, organizational, and detail-oriented mindset.
· A proactive and collaborative team player with a positive attitude and self-motivation.
