Prime Mover Driver
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all daily delivery orders (DOs) entrusted are delivered to customers according to the schedule given. Any delay in fulfilment must be communicate back to Traffic Controller.
- Verifying, submitting and ensure all delivery orders (DOs) daily with clean POD (Proof Of Delivery)
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
- To ensure trucks/equipment are checked daily for road worthiness before operating and carry out regular cleaning and basis maintenance for the assigned vehicle
- To strictly drive a truck and manage equipment under the authorized classification of vehicle operations allowed under the regulatory authority.
- To ensure safe driving practices and productive contribution to expeditious job completion.
- Display teamwork within team to ensure productivity targets / KPIs are met.
- Ensure daily delivery accident free with no vehicle breakdown
- Manage the daily delivery through monitoring of vehicle condition and delivery assistant health status.
- Assess the load and prepare trucks for loading and ensure proper stacking and lashing to prevent falling or getting loose during the delivery trip.
- Supervise the Delivery Assistant assigned to execute the job as a team. For One-Man-Operations (OMO), the driver is solely responsible for the job execution and manual cargo handling management.
- Assist Traffic Controller in investigation and completion of CAPA report
- Carry out delivery activities as per SOPs, flow processes, WIs and feedback to.
Qualifications and Qualification :
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 or 5 driving licence
- Minimum 2 years similar class driving experience with clean driving record
- Experience in route planning and distribution operations
- Good awareness, familiar and hands-on experience in various modes of transportation and cargo handling techniques in the Logistics Industry on with import / export Customs documentation and procedures
- Local, air and sea shipment handling process. The road, restricted facilities and logistics arrangement.
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of others with “eye for details”
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Minimum PSLE, with simple logistic and delivery experiences
