CUSTOMER SERVICE EXECUTIVE
· Excellent working knowledge of managing seafreight and airfreight - import, export goods and associated documentation
· Prepare quotations, handle enquiries and shipping activities
· Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries
· Service maintain and develop existing / new customers through planned individual account support
· Negotiate for competitive costs from overseas office/agents/Shipping Lines/vendors
· Coordinate with respective stakeholders i.e. customers, agents, carriers, hauliers etc for their import/export/transhipment activities and documentation
· To provide support for sales and marketing activities as required
· Ensure documentation compliance
· Perform cost management
· Any other ad hoc task assigned
Job Requirements
· Minimum 'O' Level
· Preferred some years of working experience in the related field for this position
· Good working attitude with a positive mindset, good communications skills, problem/dispute handling
· Knowledge of sea/air shipment procedures/processes
· Basic knowledge of dangerous goods compliance
· Knowledge of portnet/tradenet will be an advantage
· Knowledge of costing/pricing will be an advantage
· Team player, able to work independently with minimum supervision, self-initiated and task-orientated
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment & be prepared to supervise field work/operations in the port or worksites
· Being Able to start work on short notice will be an advantage
