Where problems that hinder product excellence are identified, the candidate will also be expected to directly intervene in some key problem spaces, to quickly harness new opportunities, or clear barriers. These may involve legal regulations, policy issues, resourcing frameworks, or cross-agency negotiations.

Given the dual policy and product nature of the job, the candidate will work at the cross-section between technology policy and product management/engineering/design.
