Procurement Specialist I 12 Months Contract I up to $6,800 Monthly
Our Client is seeking a Procurement Specialist for the Public Policy team in APAC. This role is responsible for budget management and monitoring the end-to-end purchasing process. We are looking for someone with interpersonal skills and a proven track record of managing budgets and analyzing large amounts of information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide procurement support to the Public Policy and Programs teams in APAC, including contract guidance, sourcing, and third-party assessments
- Create and manage purchase orders, track them to completion
- Manage manual onboarding of new suppliers/vendors
- Vendor query management - main POC for vendors and liaising with procure to pay (P2P) teams for invoice/payments issues
- Stakeholder management - main POC and escalation point for APAC queries with central internal teams
- Ensure compliance with purchasing and finance best practices
- Work with managers to ensure completion of Statement of Work documents where required by contract team
- Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve defective invoices
- Partner with Finance on the team’s projected spends, ensuring accuracy in monthly accruals and budget reallocations on a quarterly basis
- Analyze reports and provide budget updates to the directors on a monthly basis and ensure that teams are on track to spend
- Work with teams to provide budget forecast on a quarterly basis
- Miscellaneous administrative support, customised reporting, ad hoc projects
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of purchasing and budget management
- Fluency in English
- Advanced Excel, Outlook user
- Ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively and succinctly with people at all levels
- Project management experience - especially handling a large volume of projects in various states of completion
- Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to work with confidential information
- Highly motivated team player that can work well under pressure
- Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment with minimal supervision
- Experience working cross-functionally and consulting with internal business clients
- Experience driving change and improving end-to-end processes
