Singapore Bible College is an international community college that was established in 1952. The College is located in a prime area of Singapore near the junction of Adam Road and Bukit Timah Road, within walking distance from the Botanic Gardens MRT Station. Its workforce is made up of local and overseas faculty and staff. Most overseas faculty and students stay on campus. The College provides lunch for employees from Monday to Friday during semester.

Job Type: Full-time
The Head of IT will lead a team and manage all technology-based, audio/video and information systems and applications for the College, supporting the vision, mission and values of our faith-based education. The incumbent will be required to develop IT strategies aligned with the College’s mission, enhance digital infrastructure and implement/upgrade systems/software that foster greater operational efficiency, data security and faculty, staff, students and alumni engagement. A key focus will be on integrating innovative technology solutions continually to support online, hybrid and AI-assisted learning and teaching while considering the constraints of a non-profit environment. This position will be based on campus and occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support events, system updates, equipment/power and other forms of IT maintenance or project deadlines.
Strategic IT Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the College’s mission and strategic goals, focusing on cost-effectiveness, innovation and security.
- Advise senior leadership on technology investments and roadmap planning, ensuring alignment with the College’s vision and financial capabilities.
- Keep current with emerging technologies, particularly AI and their relevance to the College’s educational and operational needs.
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee the management and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including network systems, hardware, firmware and software applications to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place, including risk assessments, data protection protocols and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Direct the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Educational Technology & Support
- Lead the integration of digital learning and teaching platforms, supporting online and hybrid instructional methods to enhance faculty and student engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with faculty to incorporate AI tools and resources that enrich the academic experience and foster a future-ready learning environment.
- Provide IT support and training to faculty, staff, and students, promoting best practices in the use of technology for education.
Project Management & Implementation
- Manage IT-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Coordinate with other Departments to implement systems that improve administrative efficiency, enhance communication and support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee third-party vendors and consultants for project execution, contract negotiations and support services.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor and develop an IT team, fostering a culture of service,
responsiveness and continuous improvement. - Promote staff training and professional development opportunities to ensure the team remains current with technological advancements and best practices.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage the IT Department’s budget, optimizing resources and ensuring expenditures align with organizational priorities.
- Seek cost-effective solutions including open-source software and cloud services to maximize the Department’s impact within budget constraints.
- Explore Grant opportunities or partnerships to fund technology initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in IT management with experience in the education or non-profit sector preferred.
- Proven knowledge in IT infrastructure, networking, software development, cybersecurity, project management and educational technology.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, learning management systems (LMS) and familiarity with AI-based tools.
- Strong team leadership, mentorship and project management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with faith-based education, educational environment and values.
- A visionary approach to leveraging technology in education with a focus on student engagement and holistic learning.
- Resourcefulness and innovation in optimizing limited resources to meet missional goals.
