Nurse Educator
Key responsibilities
- You shall be responsible in providing strategic direction in the planning, coordinating and implementing nursing education and training initiatives including professional development of nurses, under the auspices of the Assistant Director, Nursing Education & Training.
- To assist in developing curriculum following constructive recommendations on training/ practice issues.
- To perform regular assessment of nurses' competencies to ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of professional and quality nursing standards.
- Conduct performance appraisals of junior staff in his/her department.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Post-basic Specialty Certificate in Nursing Education or Masters in Nursing Education is an added advantage.
- Possess valid Singapore Nursing Board practising certificate for Registered Nurse.
- Possess valid BCLS and AED certification or BCLS and AED instructor certification.
- At least 5 years clinical experience as a Senior Staff Nurse or Clinician.
- Preceptor and clinical teaching/supervision experience preferred.
