SENIOR EXECUTIVE (NETWORK & SECURITY)
Job Responsibilities:
The IT Network and Security Engineer oversees the design, implementation, monitoring, and management of local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) for the Company to guarantee maximum up time for users.
The IT Network is tasked with creating an IT Network road map that will cater to the overall Infra and Network requirements of the Company and must align with the Company's strategic business plans for growth.
The position focuses on implementing secure network architecture, conducting regular security audits, and maintaining the overall performance and protection of the company’s IT infrastructure.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Develop Annual Network plans and budget.
• Renewal of yearly subscription contracts of network equipment. (VMware & Nutanix HCI, Firewall and etc.)
II. Network Infrastructure Management
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues and provide resolution to complex network challenges.
III. Network Security Implementation
• Implement and manage security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
• Ensure secure communication between networks and protect against unauthorized access.
• Regularly update and patch network security devices and systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
IV. Security Audits and Risk Management
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate potential threats.
• Perform penetration testing and vulnerability scans on the network to uncover security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring that the network environment is secure and compliant with industry standards.
V. Incident Response & Threat Management
• Monitor network traffic for security incidents and respond to potential threats or breaches.
• Lead incident response efforts, investigate security events, and provide remediation.
• Maintain logs and records of security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management.
VI. Security Policies and Best Practices
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent security practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to define security objectives and implement appropriate solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to ensure the organization remains protected
VII. Collaboration and Support
• Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., Systems Administrators, Developers, and Support Teams) to ensure network security measures are integrated into all systems and services.
• Provide guidance and support for secure system deployments and configurations.
• Assist with IT projects that involve security integrations, such as cloud security or system migrations.

VIII. Continuous Monitoring & Reporting
• Continuously monitor the network environment for potential security breaches or performance issues.
• Responds to the security information and event management (SIEM) systems on the alert for real-time monitoring.
• Generate detailed reports on network security status, vulnerabilities, and incidents for senior management and submission for KRI’s

IX. Innovation & Technology Integration
• Research and recommend new network security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats.
• Lead the deployment of new security technologies and ensure their integration into existing network infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or other IT related field with a minimum of 5 years working experience in IT infrastructure and network support.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in troubleshooting/managing firewall, routing & switching & wireless
• Must have the experiences for brands such as Aruba, Cisco, & FortiGate.
• Experience with network management tools and monitoring software is an added advantage
• Familiarity with network security best practices and technologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
