Assist the Head of Department in ensuring smooth and efficient Safety, Health, and Environmental operations.
Monitor and assess unsafe situations within the workplace.
Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the established line of authority.
Exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.
Participate in planning meetings to identify health and safety concerns in daily operations.
Review the incident action plan to ensure safety considerations are adequately addressed.
Investigate accidents and near-misses within the workplace.
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment.
Lead toolbox meetings and ad hoc safety discussions with staff.
Ensure all tools and equipment are adequate, safe for use, and properly maintained.
Promote and enforce safe work practices at the job site.
Train employees and conduct drills on emergency response procedures.
Assist in developing and implementing OSH ( Occupational Safety and Health ) policies and programs.
Perform job hazard analysis, hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
Monitor worker safety and intervene to prevent entry into hazardous situations.
