HR Manager/ Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to plan workforce needs and drive business growth.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Work with finance to maintain cost-effective and compliant payroll practices.
  • Review compensation structures to stay competitive and improve employee retention.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and ensure the hiring of qualified talent.
  • Develop long-term workforce plans and manage succession planning.
  • Ensure alignment between corporate and retail teams for consistent growth.
  • Address employee relations issues and promote a positive work culture.
  • Drive employee engagement and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Advise senior management on sensitive employee matters.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for employees.
  • Monitor performance and implement development strategies.
  • Lead training and leadership development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety standards, and employee rights.
  • Stay updated on HR-related legislation and adjust policies as needed.
  • Monitor HR practices to minimize legal risks.
  • Develop and implement HR policies to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Regularly update policies to reflect changes in laws and business needs.
  • Provide regular HR reports and data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Mentor and guide HR team members for effective execution of HR functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage competitive employee benefits programs.
  • Regularly review benefits packages to optimize value.
  • Support employee wellbeing through work-life balance and mental health initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years in HR, with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in talent management, employee relations, and payroll, ideally within retail or FMCG industries.
  • Strong background in HR operations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employee lifecycle management, and performance systems.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, compensation, benefits, and health & safety regulations.
