ASSOCIATE M&E DIRECTOR
Job Description:
· Lead the technical and project management delivery of M&E projects
· Drive technical development and keeping up-to-date with new technologies / innovations
· Provide technical and project leadership assisting Director/QP
· Lead tender bid in M&E Services
· Formalise standards for specifications, drawings, etc. in conjunction with other Team Leaders and Division Leaders
· Keep Team members informed and aware of the latest practices, materials availability, legislative rules and regulations, etc.
· Prepare/provide Conceptual Design/sketches
· Ensure technicality/Design documentation work carried out by team members is appropriate and comply with codes and local authority requirements
· Manage staffing and technical standards of the Team, mentoring junior staffs
· Set design criteria, check design calculation, drawing and update team members on latest project developments
· Ensure concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage
· Oversee and control efficiency and quality of work produced by the Team members
· Review M&E Detailed Calculations Report, Design and Drawings
· Ensure timeliness of production of works carried out by the Team
· Prepare and monitor project cost and budget
· Attend Client meeting and critical project meetings
· Ensure Team members are adhering to Company rules and regulations and comply with ISO Quality Procedures
Job Requirements:
· Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Recognised by Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore)
· Preferably a Registered Professional Engineer with PEB in Singapore
· Must have experience working with Engineering Design Consultancy firm
· Min. 10 years’ experience in design / construction industry
· Competent knowledge of local practice, i.e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission
· Proven track record of successful projects management and delivery within assigned budget, timeline, quality and safety
· Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
