CREATIVE DIRECTOR (EVENTS)

Gusto Collective Singapore is seeking an inventive, highly motivated, and passionate Creative Director to join our team. Responsibilities
Event Conceptualization and Creative Development
· Collaborate with the wider Events account teams to develop and pitch compelling, creative event concepts for luxury clients. Translate ideas into innovative themes that resonate with prospective clients and contribute to business growth.
· Work closely with clients, presenting creative ideas, concepts, and designs, and incorporating client feedback into final plans.
· Manage the creative process from brainstorming and conceptualization to final execution and post-event analysis.
· Guide and delegate tasks such as creating detailed mood boards and visual presentations to effectively communicate proposed concepts and designs to clients and stakeholders.
· Ensure smooth integration of creative elements with logistical and technical requirements by working closely with event planners and production teams to deliver flawless experiences.
· Explore new creative approaches and innovative solutions to elevate event experiences.
Creative Execution
· Oversee the creative execution of events on-site, ensuring the design vision is maintained throughout setup, execution, and breakdown.
· Work with the event production team to ensure smooth transitions and the realization of the creative vision.
General Workflow and Quality Assurance
· Develop SOPs and workflow processes to optimize the design team's utilization and smooth operation while identifying opportunities for innovation and workflow improvements.
· Serve as a brand guardian and knowledge center for creative assets (e.g., brand assets, stock images), ensuring consistency with client brand guidelines while infusing creativity and originality into every aspect of event design.
· Contribute to knowledge sharing and improve team workflows and creative thinking by understanding regional nuances within SEA.
· Provide design feedback to the team when reviewing drafts, ensuring that Gusto’s high design standards are maintained.
· Maintain and monitor design timelines to ensure all deliverables are submitted punctually and meet quality standards.
People/Team Management
· Lead, mentor, and provide guidance, training, and career planning for the design team and freelancers.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for the design team, delegating work and controlling workflows and timelines.
· Provide formal feedback for performance evaluations of team members at the end of a project.
Client Relationships and Stakeholder Management
· Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, understanding their creative needs and preferences to deliver customized and impactful event solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in 3D design, with a strong focus on designing for events and exhibitions.
· Previous experience working with luxury clients is a must.
· Knowledge of sustainable event design practices is a plus.
· Experience working closely with design and production teams to ensure high quality work.
· High proficiency in industry-standard programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Autodesk 3DS Max, Chaos VRay, and Microsoft Suite.
· Sharp eye for detail, with a strong sense of layout, color, composition, and typography.
· Proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Adaptability and flexibility in managing unforeseen challenges.
· Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading teams to deliver exceptional results. Ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
· In-depth understanding of the events industry, current trends, and emerging technologies. Familiarity with event management software and tools is a plus.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
