Allinton was founded in 1982. In those days, it was difficult to source for quality hardware and engineering tools. Procuring tools meant visiting numerous hardware stores just to get the suitable ones at fair prices – a tedious and time-consuming chore. This inspired our founder, Mr Albert Chin, to create a large hardware store that offers quality hardware tools at good value so that engineers are able to find the right tools easily.

Today, we are one of Singapore’s largest hardware distributors. Our two warehouses combine a capacity larger than 30,000 sqft and carry ready stocks worth close to $12million. Behind this immense inventory is a fleet of trucks and dedicated drivers supporting deliveries islandwide. Job Description for IT Intern

The internship program involve attachment to the regional IT function to assist in ongoing IT projects with business units based locally in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing IT and Technology projects

• Sales Automation Projects: AL extensions with Business Central

•  Create and utilize MS SharePoint sites as collaboration depositories.

• Power automate projects

• Tenancy & Dataverse Projects

Qualification and Skills

• The candidate must be studying a course in IT diploma or degree and intends to learn industrial knowledge in IT planning, project management and cyber security work.

• Communications both in terms of verbal and written would be required to successfully perform certain tasks.

• Python, HTML, Json not necessary but advantageous

• Possess knowledge and interest in Application development.

• Experience in use of MS SharePoint and Teams to create sites and channels is advantageous.

This internship training program will allow IT intern to learn relevant skills and knowledge suitable for IT career. Particularly in a cross functional diverse technology projects that deploy different aspects of IT ana technology that aim for deployment for different acquisition business units both in terms of ongoing projects to support the business growth.
