Senior/ Manager, Facilities and Sustainability

Job Responsibilities

Facilities Operations & Maintenance

  • Lead end-to-end management across multiple sites under Go Ahead Singapore which include 2 key bus depots (Loyang & East Coast Bus Depot) and various interchanges.  This includes both hard (M&E) and soft facilities management services (landscaping, cleaning, pest control etc.).

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programmes for building systems to ensure compliance with LTA requirements.

  • Ensure high availability of critical depot systems such as fueling/ charging infrastructure, compressors, and all key engineering workshop equipment.  

  • Oversee breakdown management and ensure timely response, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to minimize operational disruptions and prevent reoccurrence.

  • Manage public feedback on facilities-related matters and ensure timely resolution.

  • Plan and lead internal, ISO and LTA audits, ensuring full compliance while driving the team consistently to exceed KPIs and audit targets.

Asset Management & Lifecycle Planning

  • Establish and maintain asset registers, condition audits and lifecycle replacement strategies.

  • Plan and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets in alignment with company policies.

  • Drive digitalisation and enhancements to current asset management system.

  • Lead energy optimisation initiatives and sustainability programmes.

Safety, Compliance & Regulatory

  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, fire safety standards and relevant statutory requirements.

  • Lead risk assessments, safety audits and emergency preparedness planning.

  • Act as key liaison with LTA and regulatory authorities.

  • Oversee contractor safety management and permit-to-work systems.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage term contracts and service providers to ensure performance against KPIs/ SLAs.

  • Conduct structured performance reviews and regular cost benchmarking.

  • Lead tender processes, including specifications drafting, evaluation and award recommendations.

  • Ensure strong governance in procurement and contract administration including establishing clear monitoring processes to ensure scope of works carried out as per stipulated requirements.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and support A&A works, depot enhancement projects and ad-hoc facilities enhancements for staff.

  • Support and initiate rollout of new technologies e.g. smart building, smart maintenance.

  • Implement lean maintenance practices and productivity improvements.

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align facilities capability with evolving business needs.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

  • Support tender submissions, including technical write-ups and budgeting.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team across hard and soft services.

  • Establish clear team structure, roles and accountability frameworks aligned with operational priorities.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across

  • Bus Operations, Engineering, Finance, Safety & Security, Human Resources etc.

  • Provide regular management reporting, dashboards and strategic recommendations.

  • Support crisis management and business continuity planning.


Job Requirements & Technical competencies

  • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering or related discipline.

  • At least 6 to 8 years of facilities or depot / industrial infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in leadership role.

  • Experience in transport, logistics, industrial plant or large institutional facilities preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, statutory compliance and facilities maintenance best practices.

  • Experience managing large maintenance budgets and service contracts.

  • Familiarity with energy management, sustainability initiatives or EV infrastructure is advantageous.

  • Able to multi-task in a fast pace operational environment
