You will be developing strategic marketing plans for the hotel and then overseeing the implementation and execution of the various efforts associated with the marketing plan. This might include evaluating the results of different marketing campaigns, spearheading market research efforts, or coordinating initiatives across a variety of channels. In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in marketing or commercial roles, including 2-3 years in a Director-level or Head of Marketing position, ideally in luxury or upper-upscale hotels.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering strategy, budgets, and performance results to senior executives, ownership, and regional/brand stakeholders.
- Strong leadership presence in the industry and local community.
- An excellent team player with a sense of urgency, discipline, and a track record of developing talent.
- Strong knowledge of advertising media planning, production, and digital/social channel management.
- Experience leading external agency relationships, including Public Relations or related disciplines.
- Additional languages relevant to key source markets an advantage.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
Strategic Planning & Commercial Integration
- Define and maintain the hotel's market positioning and brand narrative relative to the competitive set, ensuring consistency across all guest-facing channels and commercial communications.
- Continuously analyse the competitive landscape and consumer trends to inform strategy and drive commercial performance.
- Act as a commercial partner to the Commercial Director, aligning marketing campaigns, content, and channel strategy with revenue priorities, rate positioning, and the demand calendar.
- Drive B2B and B2C marketing strategies by segment and key source market for each hotel, aligned with the commercial focus process and demand calendar.
- Develop, proactively lead, and execute the annual marketing plan, covering eCommerce, brand, and loyalty marketing, within budget guidelines.
- Support revenue generation by aligning marketing initiatives with commercial goals, leveraging regional marketing, eCommerce, marketing operations, partnerships, loyalty programmes, and third-party distribution channels.
- Maintain a rolling monthly forecast of the marketing plan, adjusting activity and spend in response to business performance, demand shifts, and external market factors.
Campaign & Content Execution
- Lead the planning and execution of all marketing campaigns and promotional activities (local, regional, and global) across all channels, ensuring effectiveness and brand consistency.
- Oversee the execution of brand and hotel campaigns, ensuring appropriate tone, voice, and audience targeting.
- Lead content strategy and management across all channels, including hotel websites, OTAs, social media, CRM/email marketing, mobile platforms, and partnerships, including oversight of photography and video asset production and libraries.
- Develop and execute an integrated social media strategy to grow audience engagement, increase followers, and enhance brand presence.
- Own the hotel's digital platforms end-to-end, including website content, virtual tour management, and MICE/suites landing pages, ensuring accuracy, brand compliance, and timely updates.
Brand, Compliance & Reputation
- Act as the brand champion, ensuring all marketing activities, communications, and collateral comply with brand standards, corporate guidelines, and budget requirements.
- Lead online reputation management, monitoring and responding appropriately to customer feedback, comments, and complaints.
- Conduct regular marketing audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and Centre of Excellence requirements.
Performance & Reporting
- Measure the performance of all marketing initiatives, campaigns, and promotions; produce insights and reports for key stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Support
- Ensure Sales and F&B teams receive effective marketing support, including timely and high-quality collateral.
- Identify and execute local partnership opportunities to drive revenue, in collaboration with regional teams.
- Support in-house merchandising and identify opportunities to enhance visibility and revenue across channels.
- Respond efficiently to internal and external stakeholder requests.
- Develop and maintain in-language sales and marketing collateral for key source markets, in collaboration with regional sales teams.
Guest Engagement & Loyalty
- Lead CRM and loyalty programme (Honors) initiatives to maximise guest engagement and retention.
Vendor & Agency Management
- Lead external marketing and creative agency relationships, including briefing, performance review, and budget accountability.
Leadership & Team Development
- Champion company core values and contribute to talent development within the team.
