Company Profile

This program provides students a hands-on experience with regulatory compliance within the Health Insurance Industry. Interns will be given exposure and guidance to understand the ongoings on how to maintain regulatory compliance and its framework, while working with various stakeholders to ensure the Company stay within the regulations set about by MAS and other governing bodies. The scope of work includes monitoring industry changes, maintenance and constant review on current practices, identifying risks, performing AML/ CFT measures, and understanding the ever-changing environment of Compliance to adapt to changes quickly.

Job Description

Business-as-Usual (BAU):

• Assist in conducting AML/CFT screening for client onboarding in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support the team in ensuring timely submission of mandatory reports and filings to relevant regulatory bodies.
• Assist in maintaining and following established compliance procedures and guidelines.
• Provide general administrative support to the Compliance Department, including documentation, record-keeping, and filing.

Projects and Initiatives:

• Support ongoing reviews of internal compliance processes and procedures.
• Assist the team in adapting to regulatory updates and implementing necessary changes to current practices.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency within the Compliance function. 

Requirements: 

• Students pursuing a degree in any discipline, but preferably Law.
• Strong proficiency in English is highly preferred and prioritized due to the nature of the work.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, well-organized, independent & outspoken.
• Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Excel will be an advantage.
