Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Intern to support business growth, client acquisition, and relationship management. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, building strong client relationships, and working closely with the design team to develop tailored proposals and presentations. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys consultative selling, understanding client challenges, and aligning business needs with creative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Research

  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments to support business development strategies.
  • Identify potential business leads and recommend suitable approaches to expand the company’s market reach.

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, referrals, outreach campaigns, and industry connections.
  • Qualify leads by assessing their business needs, project requirements, budget, timeline, and fit with the company’s services.
  • Maintain consistent follow-ups with prospects to build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospects and clients to understand their evolving needs and business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and long-term client retention.

Proposal Development & Presentation

  • Work closely with the design team to prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitch materials that showcase the company’s expertise, portfolio, and value proposition.
  • Present relevant case studies, testimonials, design capabilities, and recommended solutions to support business opportunities.

Sales Process Management

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact and lead qualification to proposal presentation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records and provide timely updates on sales progress, client feedback, and business opportunities.

Strategic Partnerships & Alliances

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with relevant industry stakeholders, business networks, and potential collaborators.
  • Support relationship-building initiatives that contribute to long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Comfortable with lead generation, prospecting, client outreach, and relationship management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads, follow-ups, and client discussions concurrently.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
