Intern, PAssionArts
[What the role is]
Interns will gain hands-on experience in community arts and culture programme management by supporting Chingay 2027-related programmes and PAssionArts initiatives. By the end of the internship, interns should have assisted in at least one full programme cycle and contributed to at least one of the following projects: PAssionArts Street @ Chingay, PAssionArts x Chingay Community Floats, Facade Art, Chingay Heartlands, ArtsEverywhere@CDC Street Performance, or PAssionArts Networking.[What you will be working on]
Interns will support District Coordinators (DCs) in the day-to-day management of Community Arts and Culture Clubs (CACCs) and contribute to the coordination of Chingay 2027-related PAssionArts programmes. Core responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating grant applications, attending CACC meetings and events, and tracking post-event report submissions including outreach statistics.
Depending on the project assigned, interns may also contribute to one or more of the following: liaising with artists, contractors, and PA Divisions on the preparation and execution of PAssionArts Street @ Chingay, including collating art installations for the selection process; coordinating with appointed artists and PA Divisions on the PAssionArts x Chingay Community Floats project; supporting the Facade Art project through artist liaison, workshop coordination, and secretariat support; and coordinating Chingay Heartlands by collating heartlands details from all five districts, preparing programming and information kits, and disseminating programme information to organisers.
Interns will also support the monitoring of ArtsEverywhere@CDC Street Performance programmes, assist with the onboarding of new CACCs, and contribute to quarterly reporting to relevant governing organisations. They may additionally assist in the conceptualisation, procurement, and logistics coordination for PAssionArts Networking events, and provide administrative coordination support to the Performing Contingent's Production Manager for Chingay Parade.
[What we are looking for]
- Open to undergraduates or diploma holders, preferably in Arts Management, Event Management, Communications, Business Administration, or related fields. Candidates from other disciplines with a strong interest in community arts and culture are welcome to apply.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and drafting reports
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to track multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for administrative and reporting tasks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Able to commit from October 2026 to March 2027
