Finance Intern

Key Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

1. Assist in processing daily accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

2. Support bank reconciliations, payment processing, and treasury-related administrative tasks under supervision.

3. Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and supporting documents for month-end and year-end closing.

4. Organize and maintain accounting records, invoices, payment vouchers, and other financial documentation.

5. Support data entry, financial analysis, and reconciliation of accounting records to ensure data accuracy.

6. Gain exposure to trade finance operations, including Letters of Credit (L/C), bank guarantees, and cross-border payment processes.

7. Work closely with the Finance, Treasury, and Business teams to understand financial operations within the commodities trading industry.

8. Perform any other finance-related and ad hoc duties assigned by superiors.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or postgraduate student pursuing Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• Strong interest in accounting, finance, treasury, or commodities trading, with a willingness to invest time in continuous learning.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.

• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

• Good written and spoken in Mandarin to facilitate communication with Chinese-speaking business partners and stakeholders.
