Shipping Coordinator (FMCG / Food Manufacturing)

Our client is seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to oversee the company's end-to-end import and export operations. You will be responsible for shipment coordination, trade documentation, customs compliance, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth international logistics operations within the food processing / manufacturing industry.


Responsibilities:

• Manage daily import and export activities, ensuring timely shipment execution and customs clearance

• Prepare and process permits and shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Bill of Lading, COO, health certificates, and related docments

• Ensure compliance with Singapore Customs, Singapore Food Agency (SFA), and other applicable trade regulations

• Coordinate closely with overseas customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport providers, and customs brokers

• Liaise with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Sales, and Logistics teams to support order fulfilment and shipment planning

• Arrange container loading, cargo collection, and delivery schedules

• Monitor shipment progress and resolve shipping, documentation, or customs-related issues promptly

• Verify freight charges, shipping invoices, permits, and supporting documentation for accuracy

• Maintain accurate import/export records and ensure documentation is audit-ready

• Stay updated on changes to customs regulations, food import/export requirements, and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

• Prepare shipment and logistics reports as required by Management

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in import and export operations

• Prior experience within the food manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, food trading, or related industries will be highly preferred

• Strong working knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations, TradeNet, and SFA requirements

• Experience handling import/export permits, shipping documentation, and international freight coordination

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP or trade management systems
