Assistant Buyer/ Purchasing Officer

• Position: Assistant Buyer/ Purchasing Officer

• Location: Ubi, near MRT

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid arrangement. Work-from-home may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Salary: Up to $4,300, commensurate with experience

Main Responsibilities:

• Execute purchase orders for direct materials, production-related components and indirect purchases such as office supplies and services.

• Monitor, coordinate and expedite deliveries to support production schedules and minimise supply disruption.

• Liaise closely with internal departments and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, quality concerns and purchase-related matters promptly.

• Support the Sales team in obtaining cost-effective pricing and sourcing suitable materials or services.

• Coordinate local and international shipment arrangements, including freight quotations, shipment tracking and customs documentation.

• Conduct quarterly supplier performance evaluations with the QA team, covering vendor quality, reliability and delivery performance.

• Maintain accurate purchasing records and support other procurement-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 1 to 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a contract manufacturing environment.

• Familiar with ERP systems and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong coordination, organisation and multitasking skills.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to communicate with existing Mandarin-speaking customers and suppliers on business correspondence, quotations, service updates and follow-ups.
