Changi Airport Group - Enterprise UXUI Team
Join our team at the world's leading airport and be part of something groundbreaking! We are looking for an AI-forward design intern to help evolve and scale our Design Language System (DLS).
This role focuses on building, systemising, and accelerating our design foundations across traveller-facing and operations-facing products — using AI as a force multiplier. If you’re excited about the intersection of design systems, automation and generative AI, this is for you.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the evolution of our Design Language System (DLS) by building and refining components using AI-assisted workflows
- Use AI tools (e.g. Claude, Figma Make, Lovable, Notion AI) to accelerate component structuring, variant logic and naming conventions
- Experiment with prompt engineering to automate repetitive DLS tasks such as documentation, spec writing and pattern definitions
- Explore AI-assisted design-to-code translation and support alignment between DLS components and frontend implementation
- Work with engineers to understand how tokens and components translate into code and contribute improvements
- Prototype lightweight AI tools or scripts that improve DLS efficiency, governance or adoption Use AI to audit live products and surface system inconsistencies or optimisation opportunities
- Contribute to structuring scalable documentation systems powered by AI-generated drafts and structured outputs Research and test emerging AI × Design System practices to future-proof our DLS processes
What we’re looking for:
- Strong foundation in Design Systems: comfortable working with components, variants, auto layout, variables and structured naming in
- Figma AI-native mindset: familiar with generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Figma Make, Lovable) and comfortable experimenting with prompt engineering
- Creative technologist mindset: enjoys building, automating and systemising rather than just designing static screens
- Frontend knowledge: strong understanding of front-end development and best practices
- Structured and detail-oriented thinker: able to organise systems clearly and reduce ambiguity
- Curious and experimental: interested in exploring how AI can improve efficiency, governance and scalability of design systems
- Portfolio required: show evidence of system thinking, component libraries, frontend projects or AI-assisted workflows
