Intern - Accounts Executive

Job Summary 

The Accounts Executive Intern will support the Finance and Accounts Department in maintaining accurate financial records and handling day-to-day accounting and administrative matters for the company’s construction projects and head-office operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform accounting data entry and maintain accurate records in the accounting system. 
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries. 
• Process suppliers’ invoices, subcontractors’ payment claims and payment documentation. 
• Verify invoices and claims against purchase orders, contracts, delivery orders and supporting documents. 
• Assist in preparing progress billings, tax invoices and statements of account for clients. 
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties. 
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Accounts Manager or management. 

Requirements 

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline. 
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. 
• Experience with accounting software is advantageous but not essential. 
• Careful, organised and able to handle confidential information responsibly.
