UX / UI Design Intern

As a UX/UI Intern at Changi Airport, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the digital experience for millions of travellers worldwide. You'll work alongside a talented team of designers, product managers, and developers to create innovative solutions that delight our customers.

What you’ll do: 

• Collaborate with lead designers throughout an end-to-end design process to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our digital products (e.g. Changi App - travel, loyalty program, shop and dine), and a mix of traveller-facing and operations-facing products (e.g. Baggage Tracker, Airside Cleaning, etc.) 
• Dive deep into user research (interviews, surveys and usability testing) to understand user needs, preferences and feedback on products/services 
• Design user flows and UI screens that align with our business goals and enhance the overall user experience 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless product development 
• Work on Design Operations and assist in creating and maintaining design documentation, such as style guides, design systems, and UI specifications Explore the latest design trends and technologies, including AI, to stay ahead of the curve

What we’re looking for: 

• Design: Proficiency in Figma required. Adobe Illustrator (or other design software) proficiency is a bonus 
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML/CSS/JS) or prototyping tools (like Framer, Lovable, Figma Make, Claude). You don’t need to be a full-stack engineer, but you should have some basic understanding of UX development 
• Portfolio: Portfolio is required. Candidates with prior experience in UX/UI related projects preferred 
• Soft skills: Good communication skills to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders 
• Detail-oriented: Meticulous with strong attention to details 
• Working across projects: Able to multi-task effectively 
• AI Knowledge: Knowledge of AI/ML prompt engineering and generative design tools is preferred
