Responsibilities
- Contribute to ideation and optimization of NEU’s pilot production line processes, to enhance efficiency and reduce losses along the entire line
- Support the engineering team on NEU’s pilot system development, from ideation of solutions, sourcing of components and commissioning of integrated processes
- Maintain and upkeep of NEU’s recycling operations
- Assist the engineering team on other matters (not limited to):
- Support the team with 3D modelling/drawing of system components for improvements/troubleshooting
- Test & validate system solutions to improve overall process efficiency
Project Objectives
- Gaining the relevant experience to work as part of a diverse team to scale up and develop a technological solution for the industry
- Learn about the lithium-ion battery space, which includes electric vehicles, energy storage, and, more importantly, recycling
- Understand the process and development steps of bringing a new technology into the market
- Hands-on experience to work on a process line and its equipment/machinery
Requirements
- Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Materials Science/ Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
- Self-driven, independent, and resourceful
- Effective team player with good communication and presentation skills
- Possesses good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication in English
