Finance Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the Finance Department and overseeing the full spectrum of the company's financial and accounting functions. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, effective financial planning, regulatory compliance, and sound internal controls while supporting the company's strategic objectives.
As a key business partner to Management, the Finance Manager provides financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance, optimise profitability, manage financial risks, and support informed decision-making. The role also involves leading a team of finance professionals, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor and develop a team of Finance professionals to ensure high standards of performance and continuous improvement.
Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Financial Reporting.
Establish and strengthen internal controls, financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Drive process improvements and finance digitalisation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Manage the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting.
Prepare and present timely monthly management accounts and financial reports to Management.
Analyse revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow and balance sheet performance, providing strategic recommendations to improve business performance.
Monitor key financial indicators and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
Treasury & Stakeholder Management
Manage the company's cash flow, banking facilities, financing arrangements and working capital.
Maintain strong working relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants, government agencies, suppliers and customers on all finance-related matters.
Lead annual statutory audits and coordinate tax submissions, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
Compliance & Corporate Governance
Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST regulations and other applicable statutory requirements.
Oversee corporate governance, regulatory filings, ISO compliance and sustainability reporting requirements.
Ensure proper maintenance of financial records, statutory documents and business contracts in accordance with legal and audit requirements.
Other Responsibilities
Support financing, business transformation and other strategic projects as required.
Undertake any other duties and special projects assigned by Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Chartered Accountant qualification and membership with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) is required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance and audit, including at least 3 years of audit experience and 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST regulations, corporate governance and other statutory requirements.
Hands-on experience in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management and financial analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting systems and ERP software. Knowledge of Microsoft Business Dynamics 365 / Jet Report will be an added advantage.
