The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering with a leading global financial institution with a strong presence across Asia and international markets.
  • We are looking for a Private Banking KYC Analyst to join the KYC / Compliance team.
  • This is a 12-month contract under Adecco's payroll, with the possibility of renewal or conversion to permanent subject to performance and business needs.
  • Candidates who are immediately available or able to start within 1 month will be preferred.

Location: CBD

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, regular working hours

The Talent

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in KYC, AML or Compliance within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of KYC regulations, AML requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and client risk assessments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess client risk profiles, identify potential KYC issues and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Operations and senior management.
  • Proficiency in KYC systems and compliance-related technologies; experience with data analytics tools will be an advantage.
  • CAMS or ICA certification will be a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Description

  • Perform KYC checks and reviews for private banking clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal AML/KYC policies.
  • Conduct Level 1 KYC reviews, verifying the completeness and accuracy of client profiles, CDD information, SOW/SOF and supporting documentation.
  • Perform client risk assessments and support enhanced due diligence for high-risk clients, including PEPs and clients from high-risk jurisdictions.
  • Manage ongoing Customer Due Diligence and periodic reviews, ensuring reviews are completed accurately and within stipulated timelines.
  • Identify potential KYC and client risk issues, implement appropriate mitigation measures and escalate matters where required.
  • Maintain accurate and complete KYC records and static customer data.
  • Prepare regular KYC metrics, reports and trend analysis for management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Operations and senior stakeholders to facilitate efficient KYC processes and resolve issues.
  • Support adherence to MAS regulatory requirements and the bank's AML/KYC policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance KYC efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support ad-hoc compliance initiatives, projects and other duties assigned by management.
