Merchandising Executive (Stationary)
About the role
My Client is seeking for a Merchandising Executive to join their team and support product sourcing, category management, inventory planning, and supplier coordination activities (retail stores)
Salary: $3,000 - $3,700 + VB + Transport Coverage
Working hours: MON- FRI Office hours
Location: North-East Singapore, Serangoon
(Company catered staff transport from; Jurong, Ang Mo Kio, Bedok)
Key responsibilities
Source and evaluate new products within assigned categories (stationary, education materials, lifestyle products)
Manage category allocation, assortment planning, and range strategy
Analyse pricing strategies and their impact on sales performance and margins
Prepare data and insights to support supplier negotiations
Liaise with suppliers on promotions, deliveries, and stock fulfilment
Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, and sell-through performance
Develop strategies to manage slow-moving items and optimise inventory turnover
Ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving products
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute product launches and promotional campaigns
Prepare monthly sell-through, inventory, and performance reports
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Retail, Marketing, Business or a related discipline
Candidates with experience in the retail industry are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience in merchandising or category management within a retail environment will have an advantage
Experience in managing product categories and driving merchandising performance would be advantageous
Familiarity with sourcing and managing suppliers from overseas markets, including China, will be advantageous
Familiarity with SAP is an added advantage
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong interpersonal skills, including analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
