Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the hotel's technological needs within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. He/she will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our hotel's technology needs and focusing also in implementing measures and privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with PDPA Singapore, and where necessary, complete and advise on privacy impact assessments, in consultation with Senior IT Manager.

Job Description

• Lead the hands-on technical configuration, system testing, and rollout of next-generation PMS solutions; provide deep technical support for interface integrations and deliver go-live assistance to operations teams.

• Oversee and manage the upgrade, migration, and maintenance of network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), PCs, and servers.

• Serve as the Level 2/3 escalation point to analyze and resolve complex technical infrastructure bugs and system integration failures.

• Run, manage, and report on assigned IT projects independently, adhering strictly to timeline, scope, and budget boundaries.

• Provide technical guidance and backup support to the IT Executive to ensure overall property uptime and high support standards.

• Implement required security protocols and network configurations to ensure systems comply with franchise agreement standards and data security regulations.

• Work with all levels of hotel staff to resolve technical issues swiftly and minimize guest disruption.

• May require to undergo digital transformation by process improvement and the adoption of technology to enhance business performance. 

• Support the company's sustainability initiatives and contribute to its efforts in building a more sustainable and inclusive organisation.

• Undertakes any other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned by the reporting manager.

Job Requirement

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science

• May possess relevant technical experience in configuring, maintaining, or supporting Opera Cloud and cloud-based PMS systems.

• Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or IT security implementation/operations, network administration preferably in the hospitality industry

• Project management and execution skills

• Professional certification in cyber or network security related disciplines is advantageous.

• Proficient in network hardware, routing protocols, firewall administration, and VPN setup

• Demonstrate interest in digital transformation, process improvement and the adoption of technology to enhance business performance as an added advantage 

• Good communication, presentation, and written skills to effectively describe and demonstrate technical solutions to internal and external parties
