IT Intern

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised IT Intern to assist with organising, updating and maintaining the Company's IT inventory records. The intern will support the IT team in ensuring that IT equipment and assets are properly recorded, labelled and accounted for.

• Assist in conducting physical stocktaking of IT equipment and assets, including laptops, desktops, monitors, printers and other IT peripherals.

• Organise and tidy up the IT inventory storage area to ensure equipment is properly arranged and easy to locate.

• Verify physical IT assets against existing inventory records and identify any discrepancies.

• Update and maintain the IT inventory list, including asset descriptions, serial numbers, asset tags, locations and assigned users where applicable.

• Assist with labelling and tagging IT equipment for identification and tracking purposes.

• Identify obsolete, damaged, unused or unaccounted-for IT equipment and report findings to the IT team.

• Assist in taking photographs and documenting IT assets where necessary.

• Perform other IT administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Able to perform hands-on tasks involving the sorting, checking and arrangement of IT equipment.

• Responsible, meticulous and able to work independently with guidance from the IT team.

• Willingness to learn and follow the Company's asset management procedures.
