Business Analyst (Bank)

About the role

A-IT Software Services Pte Ltd is seeking 2 Business Analysts (Bank) to join our client's banking team.

This role is based in the Central Region and offers an exciting opportunity to work within the banking sector, where you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in understanding complex banking operations, translating business needs into clear system requirements, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document detailed business requirements from banking stakeholders and internal teams

• Conduct requirements workshops and interviews with key users to understand current processes and identify improvement opportunities

• Create comprehensive functional specifications, process flows, and system documentation that clearly communicate requirements to development teams

• Perform gap analysis between existing systems and proposed solutions within banking environments

• Collaborate with IT teams, project managers and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical designs

• Validate and verify that delivered solutions meet the specified business requirements and banking standards

• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including test case development and defect identification

• Provide business process recommendations to optimise efficiency and reduce operational risk in banking operations

• Maintain detailed documentation of system functionalities, configurations and business rules

• Liaise with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to manage expectations and communicate progress

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

• Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis and documentation using industry-standard tools and methodologies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about complex business challenges

• Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams, use case diagrams, data flow diagrams and other business analysis documentation

• Experience with system testing, user acceptance testing and defect tracking

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall development methodologies
