Jobstreet.com launches ‘Jobs Near Me' feature for the iPhone

Jobseekers can now find jobs nearby with just a shake of the phone

Singapore, 1 March, 2012 - JobStreet.com, the No. 1 Job Site in Singapore announced today that its iPhone app now makes creative use of the in-built accelerometer to deliver a proximity-based job search feature. The first of its kind in Singapore, ‘Jobs Near Me' allows jobseekers to find jobs nearby with just a shake of the phone.

Upon loading the app, users simply need to shake their iPhone. Available jobs will then be displayed, starting with those nearest to where the user is located. To further narrow the search, users can input keywords as criteria to be matched against.

The mobile app also allows users to search and apply for jobs, receive personalised job matching alerts, save their favourite jobs and view their past searches.

Jobs Near Me for the JobStreet iPhone mobile app is now available for download from the iPhone App Store. JobStreet mobile apps are also available for Blackberry and phones with the Android operating system.
