Have u ever found a job ads you applied for online 2–3 months ago being reposted? You applied again, got ghosted, or the application expired, and then a few months later....BOOM! IT COMES BACK! As a full-time job seeker, I’m seeing this trend throughout the year and I’m beginning to wonder… Is there REALLY a job opening in your company? Or are you just collecting resumes? Or is the position really tough and people come and go almost immediately? So, which is it REALLY? I'm so confused

In my company, it’s common for my boss and teammates to message after work hours and expect a fast reply. At first I could tolerate it, but now I get super anxious every time I see their texts. I’m thinking of getting a separate phone just for work so I can switch it off after hours and finally rest. I want better mental boundaries, but with appraisal season coming up, I’m scared it might look bad. Anyone tried this or found a better way to set boundaries without hurting your yearly review?

Been working for 1 year already so i can ask about salary increment for next year, right? Can you give me tips on how to have "the talk" with my boss during appraisal? this is my 1st time doing it so i don't know what to expect. i don't feel comfortable revealing my plan to my colleagues because i worry that they might feel jealous or something. Mostly because I'm young but I'm doing better job than them. I can justify the increment that I'm going to ask but i just dunno how to start.

Is it really wrong to do other stuff during WFH? 😭 I got caught doing laundry and running errands, but I always deliver my work on time and meet deadlines. Many times I reply late but still within reasonable time and it's not because I’m slacking off but I was just multitasking with other things. Now my boss says he’ll bring it up during appraisal and might take away my WFH privilege. How do I explain myself and convince him that I’m still productive, just with better work-life balance?

Out of nowhere, I UNEXPECTEDLY got a job offer from the company I’ve been wanting to join. I heard the team and bosses are nice + good benefits... literally my kind of place. But my appraisal is just around the corner. If things go well, my bonus and increment might actually be worth MORE than what this offer is giving. Problem is, the new company needs someone urgently, so I can’t stall too long. If you're in my place, would you chase the dream job OR stay a bit longer for the rewards?

I’ve been unemployed for 4 months now and it’s been really challenging. 🤧 So in a recent interview, I said I'm willing to accept a 20% pay cut to secure a role but the hiring manager expressed concern that I might leave if I find a higher-paying job later. Honestly, I value money but I also value loyalty if I find a company that aligns with my values and working style. How can I make them believe I’m serious about staying, even if I’m paid less?? I actually wanna stay & grow if possible.

I casually submitted a few resumes on Jobstreet these past few days, just to get a feel for how the platform works, but I can’t seem to find where to check how those companies have responded. Even if they’ve seen it but didn’t reply, there should be some status indication, right? Does anyone know where to view the application status or check if someone has sent me a message? A screenshot would be really helpful.

I passed the 1st interview and got called in for the 2nd round. Everything went REALLY WELL, and I got the job offer the next day. But of course, not every story has a happy ending. The salary... is not what I expected. Right now I’m talking with HR, not the boss. Should I directly negotiate my salary with the boss? Is it okay to ask for his contact from HR to discuss salary expectations personally? I believe HR is not gonna get me the numbers I want. If any, they only gonna reduce it 😒

Pls tell me if I'm making the biggest mistake of my life or if I'm on the right path. A fresh grad, 6 months jobless, finally got an offer. Salary SGD2.5k + 7days AL. The company is quite small, hence the salary but they promise that I'll surely learn a lot and gain good exposure from working there. My family says just take the offer & keep applying elsewhere for better opportunity. My GF says it's too little, not worth it, and that I should keep looking. I'm torn in between. Pls help.
