What's the point of fresh grads median salary hits $4500 in 2025 when more of us REMAIN JOBLESS 6 months after leaving school?? Yes, we want decent salary but we also want MORE jobs vacancies provided for us. I don't mind earning less than $4.5k for my 1st job as long as i get a job within 3-4 months after graduating. The faster i secure a job, the faster I'll gain exposure & experience + the chances to increase my salary later on. Pls, give us more opportunities! Sincerely, i'm-8month-jobless

Singapore Salary Gap
Been working for 6 years with a poly diploma, but my salary is still stuck at $3.5K. I’ve been applying for $4K+ roles, but after countless rejection, i begin to wonder.. does my 6YOE mean NOTHING in comparison to a piece of degree cert?? TBH, I'm not jealous or anything but seriously it’s SUPER FRUSTRATING that even being 6 years in the industry, I still can’t beat a fresh grad with 0 EXPERIENCE just because they have a degree! Tell me, how do i break past $4K? Get a degree too??

Feeling absolutely drained every.single.day. Ever since I joined this company, it’s been non-stop stress. Boss wants to be CC-ed in every email & questions every word. We've to submit daily progress reports even if there’s nothing urgent. I also have back-to-back Zooms from 9am-9pm, with barely any breaks. We're not allowed to excuse ourselves (from meetings) even after working hours. I’m seriously exhausted. What should I do? I’m only a few months in and already feel like I’m burning out.

35F, married with a kid. Since becoming a mother, my priorities have changed but my colleagues don’t seem to get it. They still expect me to work late, reply at night, & spend weekends on tasks like I have ZERO responsibilities at home. Even when I take leave to care for my child, work keeps coming in non-stop. I want to set boundaries, but IDK how to. Partially I'm to be blamed because I've always been a workaholic. But now it's different. How do i tell them to respect my time & space?

Fresh grad here, just joined this company 1 week ago & honestly REALLY shocked when I read my company’s manual book. EXAMPLES: If I take MC, they gonna cut my pay in half. Late 5 mins= $5 fine, 10 mins= $10, and IT INCREASES. Toilet break more than 10 mins will be flagged by HR. Also can’t use AL during notice period, must clear all leave before resigning. This is the 1st proper office job for me, so I’m a bit confused. Are these rules NORMAL in SG or am I in a red flag one?? Should i run?

Entry-level roles ask for min 2 years of working experience. Is this the norm now?? What happened to give me a job first so i can GAIN experience?🤬 Sorry guys, i'm honestly SO EXHAUSTED. It’s been A YEAR of nonstop applications, futile interviews & rejection emails. First few months, I stayed hopeful. But now my family keeps asking, "Still no job meh?" I’ve tried everything! Networking, career fairs, upskilling.. but the job market is brutal. How do i keep being positive in this situation??

Anyone here LOVE what you studied but HATE your work? 😩 I majored in engineering bcz since school days I've always enjoyed problem-solving, designing, & seeing things come to life. Studying engineering was 1 of the best decisions in my life! So naturally, i thought working wld be fun as well but turns out, it's totally different. The long hours, endless paperwork.. no more passion, just stressss. I thought I’d be building something exciting, but nope, I'm just a corporate slave. ☹️

One of the shittiest feelings is when someone spots ur mistake n their first instinct is to call it out in a group chat instead addressing it privately. Is this normal at work? Personally I'd just fix it n inform that person only. Don't feel the need to blast in a group. But here... almost everyone does this.🙄 Do you think their intention is neutral?

Got laid off last week after spending almost 7 years in corporate. No warning, the reasons of laying me off were vague. Totally not fine but move along, I’ve applied to tons of jobs, but no replies yet. Now I’m just sitting here wondering how to survive the next few months. Should I look into passive/part-time jobs? Desperately need work… and I gotta say, even those scammy “earn from home” ads really look tempting.

I accepted a verbal offer 2 week ago and no update at all ever since... Every time I ask HR, they just say, “Still processing.” Processing WHAT?! My anxiety?! I left my old job for this, now I’m terrified they’ll ghost me. Do I keep waiting? Chase them harder? Or start job hunting again before it’s too late?! Silly me for believing HR's sweet words (they sound SO CONVINCING THO??) I literally don’t know what to do except maybe retract my resignation letter 🥲 Should I?
