I am an experienced HR professional with a proven track record in managing end-to-end HR processes, talent management, analytics, and communications, combined with strong administrative and event-planning skills across various industries.
The good thingsWorking at AGD has been a truly rewarding experience. The company fosters a positive work environment that emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and employee well-being.
The challengesOne challenge I’ve encountered is navigating bureaucratic processes, which can slow down decision-making at times. While I understand the importance of structure, finding ways to streamline processes could enhance efficiency and innovation.

    Great welfare but poor direction
The good thingsGreat folks to work with. Good working environment. Lots of opportunities for development. Has a great heart for the welfare of the employees. Understanding work arrangements and reasonable work culture. You get the sense that there are a lot of people who care for you in terms of your well-being and coping mechanisms.
The challengesThe strategic direction can be very confusing and sometimes pull you in different directions. Silo mentality amongst the different parts of the organization making it difficult for collaboration, with every man for himself. The workload can be quite punishing for employees, even for those who agree to take on the workload of 2 or 3 FTEs.

    Good working environment
The good thingsThe environment is a very conducive place to work in and there is good camaraderie amongst the working colleagues. The dynamics within the company is akin to a family where almost everyone knows everyone, which allows for easier partnerships and collaborations across the different directorates. There is also a good sense of people who are steadfast and willing to help one another where needed.
The challengesThe workload can be very challenging to manage accordingly as it can be quite intense and immense for one person. There is still a little bit of silo-thinking. Even though there are a lot of worker-friendly initiatives in place, the management needs to actively support their workers when they use such initiatives for their own benefit instead as it seems that there is sentiment on the ground that they are afraid to use the initiative even though it is available.
