Find where the problem is come back and tell them you have a strategy to solve the issue and cover their loss or cost, but don't tell them what the problem is. Make a presentation you have a way to cut their loss but you won't share it and say " if you are not gonna get me to join ya then that's fine - i go to competitor and give them the results you get from finding out the fault in this company - so they would learn plus improve on their production =)
The challengesDepending on the leader, if the leader is the sort that find trouble and he is biased then most likely he will find target. Targeting someone in workplace is common so just continue but if it's too much be honest with management so you can be transferred or exit and go elsewhere. Another problem when you can solve with Big data but sometimes no one wants to listen to you even though you have a solution which you might want to implement.
