It’s a great opportunity to make a real impact on kids' lives while developing your own skills. The good thingsHonestly, working at Artary has been one of the most fulfilling jobs I've had so far. It's so much more than just teaching—it's about creating a space where kids feel comfortable being themselves and making a mess. I've learned so much here, not just about art, but about how to really connect with children and manage a classroom in a way that’s both fun and productive. The supportive community of other teachers and staff has been a huge part of that; they genuinely want you to succeed and are always there to help.
The challengesThe main challenge is definitely the pace. During busy seasons, it feels like there's always something to do, from class prep to managing student portfolios. Sometimes it can be hard to switch off, but the work itself is so engaging that the time flies by. The management team is pretty understanding about it, and they always make sure we get a chance to unwind and recharge.
