Will recommend to work here for 1 year maximum if interested, but not longer than that
The good thingsCompanies helps staff to continue learning through Lunch and learn sessions, where external speakers and lunch is provided
The challengesDo not expect a good work life balance, it is not true they respect work hours. Poor career progression, perks, and salary increment.

It depends very much on who and how capable is your team leader locally.
The good thingsThe current M&E, geotech and structure departments are good.
The challengesThe SG Water, Coastal and Sustainability team is led by a team leader who has no technical capability, and expects subordinates to find solutions for the team leader from tender proposals to projects design work. Simple earthworks for the proposed reservoir site weren’t designed correctly after many rounds of PUB comments yet claimed to have done many high-profile projects. Micromanages to the extent of forcing daily-to-do lists and scrutinising the task almost every day. The team leader demanded many 1-2-1 sessions with engineers even if it is unnecessary. Turnover rate of 50% within a year. Employed 6 engineers and 3 left in less than 6 months due to incapable and manipulative team leader. No capabilities to tender projects from Dec 2023 till Aug 2024. Shared in-constructive comments about upper management to the team. Take note of the difference of title between the Market Director and Technical Director. The team leader is a Market Director. The team has a senior engineer who plays politics with the team leader. If you are not ready to be part of their politics, think twice before accepting the job offer.
