Good corporate culture and friendly atmosphere
The good thingsPeople generally are nice and helpful within departments at least. A lot of cross functional stakeholders to get buy in from so it may be slow to reach decisions but it also means that you are not left alone undirected. The ethical standard is high due to the good corporate culture. Lots of training and internal transfer opportunities. Fast paced but in a good way.
The challengesA lot of functional team members can be in different time zones. Difficult to coordinate at times. Matrix reporting is both a good thing and a bad thing; good if your boss backs you up, bad if your boss doesn't so you have to fight your own battles. Your direct boss is key to your happiness and success in the company. Salary raises are nothing to write home about.

The good thingsMost of the employees had very good loyalty and love the companies to bits. However, they did not consider the fact that of they are benchmark with the market outlook, they are not paid as well as they could be.
The challengesTop management refuse to listen to feedbacks from Rank & File employees. Whenever there is a vacancy in the mid management position, they will simple reorg and add on more workload to a single job role.
