    A mess
The good thingsshorter working week of 37.5 hours per week fairly comprehensive insurance coverage annual leave entitlement starts at 21 days
The challengessalary is low management does not performance appropriate change management structure of the company is reverse pyramid, i.e. there are more highly paid senior management compared to lower paid entry level workers reporting line is functional therefore the chain of command goes all the way from country to region to the UK, this means management makes decisions with nary a care for employees on the ground - the disconnect is palpable

    Transparent and fair
The good thingsThe British Council is a fair and trasparent organisation. Its human resorce management is exemplary and provides fair terms of service. It also provides one of the best perfomance review and rating system. It provides oppurtunity to grow and and develop while you are working. One of its highlight is the personal development plan, which is mandatory to all employees
The challengesThe Challenge is getting into the company, the job application system is prolonged and the interview is tough. The culture is very British and is different from the American culture which we are used to

    Part time job
The good thingsThe good thing about working in this company is that the salary is per hour. The company is an international company, my colleagues are very nice to work with and I am able to communicate to different kinds of people with different nationality
The challengesYou should know how to communicate fluently using English as a language because its an English exam. You need to have a long patience for those nationality who don't speak English that well. Knowing how to troubleshoot if there are problems that came up during the exams.
