The benefit is not bad despite the low salary. There are some pleasant colleagues but there are many toxic is untruthful ones also.
The good thingsA lot of learning opportunities which may not be relevant to your job scope.
The challengesToxic colleagues and managements at the Senior Service centres.

A Retirement Hub (Good for Retirees)
The good thingsGood non-monetary benefits but not monetary (NPO). Certain department has an innovative culture but not the organisation culture. Many good ideas was pushed back/down because of resistance to change.
The challengesThe ideal of the learning organization has not yet been realised and cost allocation is a mess there. Certain departments has high turnover but no action was taken or KPI for the HOD because they have been in the organisation for many donkeys years. Too many HOD and directions, lacking a definite structure decision.

    A breadth of opportunities
The good thingsThe management and leaders are very open to facilitate professional and personal growth of staff. In the centre I was with, I saw the openness to allow creative initiatives, the acceptances of mistakes and errors and the patience to review and discuss sub-par job performances.
The challengesThe need to juggle multiple roles and tasks was difficult to manage when combined with the intensity of cases for me. The administrative infrastructure to support operations and staff were under-developed and slow to embrace the innovations in tech that could possibly support these functions.
