Good stepping stone, but not much career progression for ambitious individualsThe good thingsAble to leave work on time. Colleagues are nice and easy to work with. Quite a stable job and good working environment. Able to see monetary benefits if work hard and well as company provides pretty good bonuses.
The challengesAs it is a family business, certain changes are hard to implement. Company is a very traditional Chinese family business and can be quite resistant to changes. Proposals are often rejected and can be quite demoralising if you are an individual who hope to see change in the company culture and work processes. There is also a lot of paperwork which I found rather redundant and causes too much filing to be done.
