    Great company to work
The good thingsGreat place to have job Excellent work life balance with work from home/anywhere option Good compensation and benefits Excellent reputation in the market
The challengesMost of the roles below manager level are contract basis which is not good for someone who wants to settle down in the company. Need to avoid periodic layoffs (once in every 3-4 years).

    MNC in local Asian context
The good thingsGood colleagues, travel opportunities, lack of hierarchy, sense of belonging, opportunity to learn, the use and experience of the latest technology and equipment, good facilities for staff, mutual respect of each other's roles.
The challengesSupervisors or managers might not be based locally, lack of communications due to time zone difference and impersonal using emails, telephone or video conference. Red tapes in raising PO or other policy issues, often requiring to wait for US side for approval.

    Collaborative Environment
The good thingsI enjoyed working in Cisco Systems, it's very flexible in everything an employee does. From working style, to management reporting, to vendor management as well as working hours. It's a very collaborative environment and open for opinions, very virtual way of working across borders.
The challengesToo virtual and tend to backfires when it comes to productivity. However, I believe that it is becoming the next working trend where everyone is looking forward to. Self ownership and responsibility to work allocated to us.
