    Horrendous Company to Work With
The good thingsNothing is good in this company.
The challengesSo called MNC but functioning worse than an SME. The communication between the HQ and site office are really atrocious. Worse is their Human Resources/Payroll department - very dysfunctional, poor practices for a huge company. This company has the worse HR that I've ever encountered in my 15+ years of working in different companies. AVOID AT ALL COST.

not too bad a place to work at but can be better
The good thingsGood working environment. Working area thoughtfully planned. Pantry area and meeting rooms are also well-equipped.
The challengesLocation too far and not conveniently located. Resources are insufficient which resulted in high working stress.

    Global company but run locally
The good thingsGlobal policies are good
The challengesMost of the staff are not trained properly and the standard of professionalism is low for an MNC. Most of the staff are still running like a local company. For example, designations are arbitrary - Managers or even Deputy Directors that don't even have 1 staff reporting to them. Directors have so much spare time to micro manage staff, perform data entry, learn programming and pick up project management.

    Good place to learn
The good thingsCan learn a lot of things regarding work irrespective of the role. Company will provide opportunity to explore challenging tasks. Good work life balance. Annual leave and other benefits are better while compare to other companies.
The challengesVery hard to get promoted even though if the performance is good. HR policy has to be reviewed since what they mention in documents is not really happening.

An average company with low remuneration package
The good thingsMy immediate supervisor has been very supportive. My colleagues are also very friendly and the work environment is good. Salary is always on time. The company will also occasionally send staffs for short training on safety and technical skills.
The challengesThe company needs to have a robust HR policy as they cannot seem to be able to retain staffs. Most of the staffs (technical level) are hired on a contract basis and the overall remuneration package is not competitive as compared to other FM companies in the market. Thus, the turnover rate is very high. The higher management usually doesn't recognize and reward the employees who perform well although they seem to take pride in their own reward schemes and policies.

I learnt the management skill on facilities management in C&W Services (S) Pte Ltd
The good thingsThe company have a good documentation system for staff to follow and comply with.
The challengesI encountered many problems during after working hours as well as in the holiday. The company should not ask the Property officer to perform all administration works like issue of purchase order, request for quotation and doing for billing. The main roles of the Property Officer shall look into the maintenance of the building facility and equipment to ensure it's in good working condition at all times.

Great working experiences as we are attached to PUB
The good thingsEnjoyed working with PUB Officers as a lot of things that i learned from them. As a maintenance Engineers we need to prepare as some of the jobs are like surprises, like for example pipe damages by other telcos or its time for it to burst.

The good thingsDirect superior is extremely understanding and very supportive not only in work but also personal aspect. They have sufficient benefits to cover the employees which includes Dental Reimbursement, Travel Reimbursement ETC. Medical coverage is relatively good as well as long as you do not go for the specialist when consulting a doctor.
The challengesThe HR department can work better in retaining staff in the company. They experience quite a high turnover rate as they pay little as compare to the market and the bonus payout is also not as competitive as the other players in the market

Duty Operation Controller at Singapore Sports Hub with DTZ
The good thingsAbove average salary (If you your terms matches the job requirements), the company is big and focus on properties as their main income roller, thus wont be stingy in giving your demands if you are whom they seek for. If you are into Sports and events, it will be a pleasant experience and insight while you deal with these nature of job.
The challengesThis site (Singapore Sports Hub) is a new setup PPP (Public Private Partnership) organisation. There will be lots of pushing and finger pointing between the partners as no clear SOPs aligned among the respective partners are been agreed upon, especially in operations and finance. Also depending on your position, a lot of overtime and effort will be required on your part due to the hectic schedule.

    Pub Project
The good thingsLearn how PUB operates. Learn more about our nation water supply.
The challengesDtz should stick to the contract. They should defend their staff rather than forever saying yes to all PUB demands without checking with the frontline people who is operating the whole operations.
