    Not a pleasant experience
The good thingsGreat colleagues that makes work easier
The challengesUpper management don't really care about team member welfare. Unfair treatment. Due to upper management terrible and indecisive planning, team members on retail floor suffer the most. Micromanage all the time. Always asking to pull out unnecessary reports when they can access on their end making more tasks for retailers. Low salary but high expectation and endless task given, even to the point of cutting down expenses of hiring cleaners and expect retailers to do 100% housekeeping. So basically retailers have to be all rounders. No flexibility on your off day. Emphasize on work life balance but still expect to reply on off day.

    High turnover
The good thingsGreat benefits. You get to learn a lot in the fast pace environment, though you have to be independent.
The challengesMeeting, discussion based, multiple meetings weekly. High turnover leads to colleagues whom are not united, which is a viscious cycle. Management are mainly westerner which might result in major cultural difference.

    Splendid Work Experience
The good thingsFlexibility in shift timing and jobscope. Able to work individually and in teams at the same time. Able to expand skill set of visual merchandising. Really good benefits. Best and friendly co-workers. Easy to medium workload on normal days. Management are quite opened to suggestions and opinions from you. They trust you.
The challengesNot being able to finish on time especially during sales period. Sometimes there is just too much stocks to open and run. The pos system is the worst. It is not updated, it is very troublesome, we need to remember every promotion that is going on including sales because the pos system wont be able to detect the promo or sales on the item. Too many stocks in backroom till there are no space left.

    Fun environment but very tiring
The good thingsStarting at 50% unlimited discount off all company stores. Fun environment, mostly youths but the adults are young at heart too! Bonded emplyees.
The challengesHourly pay is too low for job scope. Extremely tiring job. Even worse than f&b. Sales vm is sometimes unrealistic. Positioning can be very messy but management will scold if not kept neat, which is extremely difficult considering how compact and bad the vm is.

    Best time of my life.
The good thingsThe environment and job training were amazing. The management was able to take control of the store and great communication with the supervisors. Everyone worked in a team and they were always there for one another when someone needed help or assistance. The customer service working there was excellent due to the right job training that were provided by the entire team.
The challengesWhen customers in need of what they want but the store could not provide it. For example, an exchange or refund without a receipt or the price tag of the product. Customers can be demanding but the team managed to resolved the situation.

Great and supportive team to be working with.
The good thingsProvide opportunities for you to challenge yourself to learn and grow. Great support system from team. Positive working environment. Good opportunity for career development.
The challengesIt would be better if communication between higher management and people on ground improved. Higher management should have a better understanding of the store operations and difficulties staff at store is facing to prevent from misunderstanding.

    Fast paced, fun
The good thingsI enjoyed working surrounded with kids. As its a kids store that i'm working at, its a plus point for me. Love interacting with them. Sometimes during the weekend, there will be face painting for the kids and i will be incharged of getting the job done.
The challengesIn retail line, we are suppose to be upbeat and will need new ideas of how to attract customers. It can be challenging when its over crowded with kids. The noise, chaos and such but thats how kids are suppose to be so i m fine with the environment.

    First and Fullfiling Job
The good thingsI enjoy having the opportunity to work with different team members from different stores within the past close to 5 years. Not only that, i've learned alot of different procedures and techniques on dealing with customers, team members etc. Having to be exposed to managing a team (20-60), stock levels and store itself really enable me to use these useful skill sets for my future endeavors.
The challengesChallenges would be how to bring up the sales and the team morale so as to allow the store to grow to a greater height. As Cotton On just launch a new management structure recently, its still quite new to everyone in terms of job description and in times when that particular store with vacancies, people in the team have to take up at least 2 roles for it to be covered.
