It aims at giving all newcomers a complete overview of the structures and workings of each department and business unit within the group. In addition this is an excellent opportunity for networking and meeting DEME management as well as other DEME colleagues from all over the world.Dredging Technical Training and STCW 95We organize an officially recognized extended dredging course, that consists of four technical modules, handling themes like soil mechanics, hydraulics, process measuring and automation, the working of dredgers, and so on. The course is organized for our engineers, whether they are working on site or for our central technical departmentsFor crew, we organize STCW courses, and are looking at establishing specific STCW courses on management level (for masters and chief engineers).DEME Skill ProgrammeWith the in-house training of the DEME Skill Programme, DEME wants to facilitate young site engineers to go through a structural training programme consisting of relevant technical and non-technical skills to enlarge knowledge and insight in our activities.DEME 2020: engaging our future project managersFor high potentials who are ready to fully commit themselves to a career on site, we have an intensive coaching and training programme, helping them to develop skills that prove their benefits in the future; people management, contracts management and business management.Health and Safety: a top priority within DEMEDEME acts as a responsible member of society in such a way that the health and safety of its staff and crew, customers, contractors, visitors and neighbours is being safeguarded and that they will not be confronted with unacceptable risks.
