    Property Executive/Site Building Manager
    Dec 2022
Singapore9 to 10 years in the role, former employee
Fulfilling Experience managing a building alone
The good thingsGreat working relationship among the different contractors/workers who are based on-site.
The challengesPer client's (ie, Management Corporation Strata Title) requirement for only one (1) Managing Agent staff member to be on-site, workload can be heavy for 1 person alone to manage a mixed development building (i.e, residential units and commercial units) on a daily basis.

    Manager
    Sep 2021
5 to 6 years in the role, current employee
    Average working environment, poor management
The good thingsMany great colleagues, all of whom are very keen to come together to help the company grow. However, management does not listen and have their own way of doing things - do not hear the concerns of employees enough.
The challengesManagement structure and style is very staunch and inflexible, typical local small company type of management. Management style is also not modern, very old fashioned. Some people in the management do not trust their employees too, making it difficult to work amicably. Lacking in benefits for employees. Benefits for employees are the bare minimum, quite pathetic. Very low salary as well with insanely low bonus payouts. Annual pay increment is miserable too, one of the lowest that I've ever seen in local companies. The promotion in the title of this company does not match the salary increment as well.

Peaceful work environment, good local track record and client base, supportive colleagues
The good thingsThe company ensures that everyone has a conducive work environment by providing the physical ambience and necessary provisions to foster well being
The challengesThe career and growth opportunities here need to be actively pursued to seek better clarity - through proactive discussions with your superior over regular occasions

    Bad management
The good thingsBenefits for a foreigner is good, But bad managements comes from the site manager, A manager that does not listen to his staff, The management uses their emotions to work not their brains, No career opportunities my supervisor worked here for 8 years till today he is still a resident officer.
The challengesLong working hours, Taking short breaks was a big deal if the manager cathes you. Too much work politics.
